THE PROJECT
The project involves a comprehensive renovation of a single-family home, including seismic and energy efficiency upgrades as well as architectural improvements. The project was designed by Benedikter Studio, which has given the original 1970s structure a fresh new look. The home, now divided into two separate units, has achieved Casaclima A certification.

THE APPROACH
The thoughtful use of wood and earth tones, set against the backdrop of the lush greenery, is perfectly balanced by the more angular forms of tinted aluminum.
Working closely with the designers, we began by designing the joint, creating monoblock subframes that would adapt to the structures and properly connect the new layers of insulation and airtightness.

THE WINDOWS
The monoblocks, seamlessly integrated into the insulation cladding, conceal the shading systems and mosquito screens, leaving only the desired portion of the fixed frame visible. The exterior side is clad in matte RAL 7021 aluminum to match the other metal components of the building envelope and the shading system. In the main room, the opening to the outside is provided by the opposite lift-and-slide door, with an interior side in oiled oak and an exterior side in terra oak.
