SINCE 1996
We view the work of a window and door manufacturer as akin to that of a tailor; we conceptualize, design, manufacture, and install using our own skilled craftsmen.

SINCE 1996
We interpret the work of a window and door maker like that of a tailor; we imagine, design, produce, and install with our own skilled workers.

OUR STORY
We were founded in 1996 in Mantua. We chose wood and cork, attention to detail, technical innovation, and a craftsman’s approach over mass production. Thirty years later, those choices still define how we approach our work.
As manufacturers, we have a responsibility to consider what we produce by looking in both directions: what it was, where it came from, what it will become, and where it will end up at the end of its life.
We believe that sustainability is not just a word, but a call to look to the past in order to shape the future.
We believe in a culture of craftsmanship that endures.
We believe in the value of craftsmanship, as clearly defined by Sennet as the embodiment of the human capacity to do something well simply for the sake of doing it.
We believe in the use of wood, the oldest, most widespread, and most human of all materials, capable of absorbing time and building memory.
METHOD
Vertical approach
We believe that the best way to ensure product and service quality is to manage every stage of the process ourselves, adopting a vertically integrated approach.
A single point of contact, dedicated to the client and the designer.
DESIGN
Our work begins with the design of the window opening. We identify and define an aesthetic solution that is also technically sound and functional, drawing detailed cross-sections of each component. Upon request, we perform finite element simulations of the joints to calculate thermal bridge values and verify thermal and humidity comfort conditions.
PRODUCTION
Every window and door is unique, designed and crafted specifically for each project in our in-house woodworking shop. Our ability to listen and collaborate with the client and the designer is key; the craftsmanship of our artisans and the quality of our raw materials do the rest.
INSTALLATION AND AFTER-SALES SERVICE
We rely exclusively on specially trained in-house staff to install all our systems. Upon completion, we conduct non-destructive tests such as blower-door tests and thermal imaging to provide tangible and transparent proof of our work’s quality. We continue to support our clients through scheduled maintenance and extended warranties.
WOOD AND CORK
The combination of wood and cork is the innovation we patented in 2008, known as the “Production process of an eco-modular window.” The central part of the window, made of wood and cork, ensures the strength of the mechanical connections and the continuity of the insulating layer: a layered window, where different types of wood are separated by a thermal break made of natural and renewable material.

AWARDS
Every decision we make is driven by a passion for innovation and a commitment to offering environmentally friendly solutions, based on our belief that building a sustainable future is everyone’s responsibility.
In 2016, “zero” was awarded “The Best Of” at the SAIE Innovation competition in the transparent envelope category, thanks to its high performance standard—Uf 0.6 W/m²K—combined with the use of natural and certified materials.
Three years later, in 2019, “zen” won first prize at the Component Award – “Windows for the Future,” at the 15th edition of the International Passive House Conference, dedicated to the most innovative, efficient, and sustainable window and door systems.
In 2019, our products were Declare-certified and recognized as “red list free.”
In 2025, “zen” was selected for inclusion in the ADI Design Index and nominated for the 2026 ADI Compasso d’Oro.
