NATURAL AND RENEWABLE MATERIALS

Wood and cork are both natural and, above all, renewable materials. Wood, sourced from FSC- or PEFC-certified sustainably managed forests, is the most sustainable of all building materials. Using it responsibly helps sequester CO₂, promotes the planting of new trees, and protects forests. Similarly, cork, produced from the cork oak and obtained through the cork harvesting process—which is still done by hand—is harvested from the same tree every ten years.

LIFE CYCLE AND WASTE

From the preparation of raw materials to production and disposal, every stage of the process involves the release of pollutants.

That is why we have chosen wood, the most sustainable building material available.

Riduzione scarti produzione serramenti Eurofinestra — metodo Legno e Sughero brevettato vs metodi tradizionali

Manufacturing wooden windows and doors has an environmental impact ten times lower than that of PVC and one hundred times lower than that of aluminum. The Legno&Sughero method reduces waste by up to 35% compared to traditional production methods. All new products are designed with disassembly in mind: the most exposed parts must be removable for maintenance or replacement without interfering with the window’s operation, thereby significantly extending its useful life.

INTERNAL PRODUCTION

Every piece is one-of-a-kind. Every customer has their own dreams, every project has its own requirements, and the result is always something different, personal, and unique.

The craftsmanship of those who think with their hands is always recognizable in any object and can bring value even to the humblest of materials. Every window and door is crafted in our in-house woodshop in Governolo, designed and built specifically for each project. The ability to listen and engage in dialogue with the designer is key; the skill of our craftsmen and the quality of our raw materials do the rest. Detailed design of the window and door system in a building is key to ensuring the success of the intended architecture.

PAINTING

The finish is applied using eco-friendly, water-based products. The vegetable oil-based finishing waxes make it easy to dispose of and reuse the materials. On the interior side, the vegetable oil treatment imparts a silky texture, enhances the depth of the grain, and provides a matte finish. VOC emissions are near zero, ensuring good indoor air quality.
