THE PROJECT
In this project, architect Carlo Margini completely redesigned the villa’s appearance, transforming a building from the 1980s.
Metal and heat-treated ash wood envelop the structure.
The architectural redesign was accompanied by seismic retrofitting and a complete renovation of the insulated building envelope.

THE WINDOWS
The Zero window is installed on a custom-designed subframe: the frame disappears into the facade, giving way to the rhythm of the slats. The continuity of the cladding is never interrupted.
At the entrance, the glass door blends into the interplay of vertical solids and voids. The discreet handle incorporates a biometric reader that controls the motorized lock.

THE COVERINGS
Heat-treated ash, in 30×50 mm vertical strips, wraps each facade in a rhythm of solid and void. A garment tailored to the house: it conceals the porticos, embraces the glazed sections, and flows seamlessly along the eaves.
The east facade was designed panel by panel, with the layout planned as coordinated elements ready for installation. Detail is not an afterthought—it is the essence of the project.
