At the 2025 Festivaletteratura: The Story of a Sustainable Edition

THE EVENT
The 29th edition of Festivaletteratura has come to a close, an event that once again transformed Mantua into an open-air laboratory of ideas. We actively participated by supporting the “Experimenting with New Landscapes” program.

Architect Aldo Cibic at the Bibiena Theater, Mantua
The event on Wednesday, September 3, featuring Aldo Cibic and Luca Molinari, was the centerpiece of our contribution: an in-depth discussion on conscious architecture that drew a large audience of both the general public and professionals, confirming just how much of a priority the topic of sustainable living is today.

MY ISLAND
In Piazza Santa Barbara, the “My Island” installation by faargo, designed by architects Mattia Volpato and Michele Perlini, has reimagined the square’s open space, offering visitors an island of rest and quiet in the heart of the Festival route. Crafted from ash wood, this modular platform served not only as a piece of street furniture but also as an invitation to slow down and experience the urban space.

CESTINO QUE
The beauty of the Festival also lies in the attention to invisible details. The Que trash can, created by faargo and designed by Studio Gisto in collaboration with Davide Biancucci. The management of recycling during the event has been seamlessly integrated into Mantua’s monumental setting.
A minimalist design for a minimal environmental impact, placed at key locations throughout the city.
