THE CONCEPT
The heat-treated outer edge—removable and secured with hidden screws—is the only visible part of Zen essenziale.
Inside, there are no bevels or trim pieces: the sash closes directly onto the frame using hidden joints and dowels.
Four weatherstripping seals and a layered construction of hardwood, high-density cork, and heat-treated ash.
Certified by the Passive House Institute with Uf < 0.9 W/m²K.

THE EXHIBITION
The selection for the ADI Design Index 2025—which took place on October 15—has placed Zen essenziale among the nominees for the 2026 ADI Compasso d'Oro Award.
The Compasso d'Oro is the longest-running award in Italian design, established in 1954. Being exhibited at the ADI Design Museum means standing alongside the best of contemporary Italian design in a space that highlights the process even before the product—a perspective closely aligned with our way of working.
